KABUL, officials said on Wednesday.

Michael Steiner, Germany’s special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, expressed this willingness at a meeting with Foreign Minister Dr. Zalmai Rassoul in Kabul late on Tuesday.

Janan Musazai, a spokesman for foreign ministry, said the second Bonn conference on Afghanistan’s future would be held in December. The 2001 moot in the German city had lasted nine days.

As a result of the key decisions taken at the conference, an Afghan transitional authority was set up, the country’s first post-Taliban constitution approved and the presidential as well as parliamentary election held.

The second Bonn meeting, to be led by the Afghan government, will confer on future plans for the country. Rassoul and Steiner described the ongoing security transition process as important for Afghanistan’s sovereignty.
