Would-be bomber shot dead in Khost

KHOST CITY (PAN): Afghan security forces shot dead a suicide bomber before he reached his target in southeastern Khost province, an official said on Saturday.

Wearing an explosive vest, the man wanted to attack the security personnel in Bak district. However, he was gunned down before he struck, the district chief, Zmaray Khan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The attacker’s nationality was yet to be ascertained, the official said.
