Police officer detained on bribery charge
TALOQAN (PAN): The Rostaq district crime branch chief was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe in the northern province of Takhar, officials said on Monday.
Abdul Hakim was detained on Sunday evening on the basis of an intelligence tip-off, provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Khair Mohammad Timur, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Hakim is currently under interrogation, according to the police chief, who gave no further details.
