New power stations start supply to 3 districts
Da Afghanistan Brekhna Shirkat (DABS) chief, Abdul Raziq Samadi, told the inauguration ceremony in the Kalkan area that the project had cost 40 million afghanis.
Kabul electricity chief, Shakib Ahmad Nisar, said the six stations had capacity to produce1.5 megawatts of power, which was not sufficient for the three districts. New power stations are being built to overcome the shortfall.
Mohammad Daud Kalkani, a lawmaker from Kabul in Wolesi Jirga, said the power stations would help implement public welfare projects in the districts.
