KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): A dozen people were killed when a powerful bomb ripped through a two-storey hotel in Pakistaninfo-icon's southwestern province of Balochistan on Sunday.

At least 23 others were wounded in the massive blast that razed the hotel in the Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad district, reported a private Pakistani TV channel.

Monitored in Kabul, the Geo News linked most of the casualties to the building's collapse. The blast resulted from explosives placed inside the hotel.

Ambulances reached the scene late, with nearby hospitals lacking first aid treatment. As a result, the injured had to be taken to Larkana and Jacobabad hospitals of neighbouring Sindh province.

According to another TV channel, DawnNews, two suspects have been taken into custody. The men left the hotel a short while before the explosion.
