Taliban assault caused $300,000 loss: governor
The attack was conducted two days back when five suicide bombers stormed the governor's house in Charikar, the Parwan capital. At least 22 people were killed and 34 others injured.
Governor Abdul Basir Salangi told Pajhwok Afghan News his office, revenue department, firefight and security centre were partially damaged. Furniture, vehicles and windowpanes of nearby shops were also harmed.
Parwan Chambers and Commerce and Industries Director Ismail Danish said two Corolla cars belonging to them were damaged in the rebel assault
Mobile phone dealer, Mohammad Naeem, said his shop was damaged and his belongings were destroyed as a result of the attack.
