Up to 15 militants killed, over a dozen injured in Khyber blasts
In one incident, 10 insurgents were killed and more than a dozen others wounded late Tuesday when a convoy carrying fighters of local Taliban commander Tariq struck a roadside bomb, local journalist Farooq Afridi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Farooq added that because the incident occurred in a mountainous area, it is difficult to get exact information about it.
Separately, five more militants were killed and four others wounded by a blast in the Miraban village of Tirrah Valley, he concluded.
The incidents came as more than 60 fighters have been killed so far in bloody clashes between the local Taliban outfits Lashkar-e-Islam, Ansarul-ul-Islam and Zakha Khel tribes in the Khyber Agency over the past two months.
