District chief survives bomb attack in Samangan
AIBAK (PAN): A district chief escaped unhurt in a bomb blast that wounded an intelligence official in northern Samangan province on Wednesday, an official said on Wednesday.
Mohammadullah Sadid, the Hazrat Sultan district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion occurred in the Shaloq Tu village. They were returning to the district centre after eradication of hashish fields in the village.
Col. Masdaqullah Muzafari, Samangan's deputy police chief, said nobody had been detained in connection with the bomb attack.
