HELMAND (PAN): A suicide attacker was killed before he could reach his target in Nad Ali district of southern Helmand province on Thursday. The bomber detonated his suicide vest when police asked him for body search.
Police chief Col. Shadi Khan said the attacker blew himself up 40 meters from police, who escaped unhurt. "We have reports of militants having prepared suicide attackers to kill district officials."
Resident Tila Muhammad said the incident took place near the district centre. The attacker blew himself on a farm, he told Pajhwok Afghan News.

NEILI (PAN): Two members of a family were killed by armed robbers inside their house in the Sharistan district of central Daikundi province, policeofficial Younus Khan said on Thursday.
The incident took place late on Wednesday night when the robbers entered a house in the Gharsa village. On resistance, a boy and his sister were killed by the outlaws.
