Tonnes of explosives seized in Ghazni
GHAZNICITY(PAN): Tonnes of explosives were seized in Qarabagh and Jaghori districts of southern Ghazni province, officials said on Thursday.
Nearly 5,000 kilograms of explosives, packed in 100 bags, were recovered during an operation by National Directorate of Security (NDS) agents, the spy service said.
Militants wanted to use the explosives, found with the cooperation of area people, for disruptive activities, the intelligence department said.
No one has been detained so far in connection with the explosives. An investigation was underway, said the provincial police chief, Maj. Gen. Zarawar Zahid.
