Driver dies, 2 oil tankers torched in accident
AIBAK (PAN): Two oil carrying tankers were torched after a collision that left one of the tankers' drivers dead in northern Samangan province, a senior traffic official said on Monday.
The two tankers carrying oil for the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) collided with each other in Rabatak area of Aibak city at around 2pm late on Monday, said Col. Mohammad Ibrahim, the provincial traffic police chief. The vehicles caught fire that killed one of the drivers, he said.
But security officials denied the Taliban had been involved in the incident.
