Mobile phone tower blown up in Ghazni
GHAZNI (PAN): A private telecommunication company's tower was blown up in the Qarabagh district of southern Ghazni province on Tuesday, an official said.
He heard a blast in the morning and was informed later on that a booster of the Etisalat company had been destroyed, the district chief said.
Zaitullah Azimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the tower was located on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, some six kilometers from the main district bazaar. The militants have banned the mobile phone service in the area for a year.
