462kgs of explosives seized in Laghman
MEHTARLAM (PAN): Nearly 462 kilograms of explosives were recovered from a truck by intelligence officials in the eastern province of Laghman, an official said on Sunday.
The truck driver has been detained in connection with the explosives, a National Directorate of Security (NDS) official told Pajhwok Afghan News on condition of anonymity.
The incident took place Saturday night in Chalmati village on the outskirts of Mehtarlam, the provincial capital. The detainee had been referred to the prosecutor’ office, the official said.
Last week, 34 kgs of explosives were captured by intelligence operatives in the Qarghaee district of Laghman.
