According to the Ministry of Interior, as many as 13,500 police have been tasked with maintaining Kabul security during Eid-ul-Fitr. With special security arrangements put in place, residents of Kabul will celebrate the festival in a peaceful environmentinfo-icon, the Interior Ministry spokesman, Ghulam Seddiq Seddiqi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Although the Talibaninfo-icon have warned of intensifying attacks, the spokesman said police would stop them in their tracks.
