60 mines seized from house in Helmand
LASHKARGAH (PAN): Sixty unexploded mines were seized by a joint Afghan-international security force a night before Eidul Fitr in the southern province of Helmand, an official said on Wednesday.
Acting on intelligence reports, the combined force detected the mines during an operation on a house in the Regi village of Sangin district, the governor's spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A man had been arrested on the suspicion of having links to the explosives, Daud Ahmadi said.
