Collision claims two lives in Samangan

AIBAK (PANinfo-icon): Two people were killed and as many others injured when a fuel tanker collided with a car overnight in northern Samangan province, an official said on Monday.

Col. Mohammad Ibrahim, the provincial traffic management officer, said the collision happened at about 8pm in Khakistari area of Aibak city on Sunday night. Two occupants of the car were killed and another two were injured in the incident, he said.

The tanker was damaged, but its driver stayed unhurt, the official said.

A Talibaninfo-icon spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid said the fighters attacked a NATOinfo-icon supply fuel tanker at about 8pm at the Khastari area on Sunday night, killing its driver.
