Accidents leave 8 dead in Baghlan
PUL-I-KHUMRI (PAN): At least eight people lost their lives in two separate road accidents in northern Baghlan province on Wednesday, an official said.
The first accident took place in Gardab area of Baghlan-i-Markazi district on Wednesday, when a 303 passenger bus collided with a van, killing five civilians and injuring eight others, said Syed Mehboob Sadat, the provincial Traffic Management Officer.
Elsewhere, three people were killed when a car plunged into a river in Shahr-i-Qadim of Pul-i-Khumri, the provincial capital, according Sadat, blamed the mishap on carelessness by the car's driver.
