Food items distributed to needy families in Ghazni
GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Food items were distributed to about 3,000 poor families in Ghogyani, Qarah Bagh and Ab Band districts of southern Ghazni province, officials said on Tuesday.
Ghaznio Natural Disaster Management Authority chief, Hafeezullah Gulistani, said more than 170 tonnes of foods items such as wheat, ghee, pulses and salt were distributed over the past three days among families affected by recent floods. The supplies were made by the World Food Programme (WFP), he added.
A local council member of Qarah Bagh, Haji Wakeel Ahmed, said if the aid was distributed to the deserving families, it would help resolve their problems.
Qarah Bagh district chief, Zaitullah Azeemi, called the aid as useful, saying the assistance would be distributed people affected by floods and the conflict.
