1 killed, 3 injured in Logar blast
PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): َAn intelligence agent was killed and three people, including a soldier, were injured in a bombing in Pul-i-Alam, the capital city of central Logar province, officials said on Wednesday.
A remote-controlled bomb, rigged to a bicycle, detonated near the mobile phone shops of a market at around 6pm on Tuesday, killing an employee of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), and wounding an Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier and two civilians, Sergeant Khan Agha, the city police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
However, Ghulam Sakhi Rogh Lewanai, provincial police chief, contradicted Afgha’s account and said that four people, including two ANA soldiers, were wounded. The blast targeted two ANA soldiers who had gone there for shopping, he added.
The blast was so powerful which shattered the windows of nearby stores and shops in the area, Haji Besmillah, an eyewitness said.
