German soldier injured in Kunduz blast
International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) troops were on a patrol in the Bagh-i-Sharkat area, where one of their vehicles struck a roadside bomb at around 7am, the PRT said in a statement. A German soldier was injured in the blast that damaged their vehicle.
The governor's spokesman, Syed Sarwar Hussaini, confirmed the incident. However, he had no further details of the explosion.
Hussaini said two militants were injured when the bomb they were planting on went off prematurely in the Aqtash area of Khanabad district. The injured rebels were detained by police.
