3 NDS guards dead in Helmand blast
LASHKARGAH (PAN): Three guards of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) were killed and two others injured when their vehicle struck a rode side bomb in southern Helmand province, officials said on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Joshi area of Nawa district at 2pm when civil and military officials were returning from a meeting of the tribal shura, the governor spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Daud Ahmadi said the injured intelligence workers were rushed to foreign troop's health facility in the district.
As usual, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, with their spokesman Qari Yusuf Ahmadi saying that an NDS officer was injured and four of his guards killed in the blast.
