3 students wounded in Paktia
GARDEZ (PAN): Unidentified gunmen shot wounded three students of Paktia University in the Teri Kandaw area of the southeastern province, officials said on Saturday.
Returning to the university after spending Eid-ul-Fitr holidays at home, the students came under attack in the Kawtar Khani village, deputy chancellor of the university, Syed Mohammad Mal, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The victims, Abdul Hameed, Zahidullah and Abdul Samad are students of the agriculture faculty. One of the injured was referred to Kabul, while the two others were taken to a health facility of the 203rd Thunder Military Corps.
Separately, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers detained three suspected militants during an overnight raid on a religious school in the Mahmud Qala area of Ahmadabad district.
