Roadside blast leaves 4 soldiers dead
ASADABAD (PAN): Four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed when their vehicle struck a road side bomb in the Manogai district of eastern Kunar province, an official said on Saturday.
The explosion took place at about 9 am in the Tantil area, said Maj. Shirin Aqa, the 201st Selab Crop spokesmen. The soldiers were on a patrol on the Asadabad-Pech Valley road.
As usual, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Their spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said six ANA soldiers were killed in the blast.
