2 killed by own explosives in Wardak
MAIDAN SHAHR (PAN): Two suspected insurgents were killed by the explosives they were planting in the central province of Maidan Wardak on Monday, officials said.
The roadside bombing occurred in the Deh Afghanan village on the outskirts of Maidan Shahr, the governor’s spokesman, Shahidullah Shahid, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A witness, Syed Rahman, said he heard the blast while travelling the road in his vehicle and saw plumes of dust and smoke rising from the site.
Two dead bodies were seen in the area, according to the witness, who said area people shifted the bodies from the scene.
