Pakistani Taliban kill two on spying charge
Two dead bodies, dumped on a roadside, were found with a letter in Lakki Marwat district of the province, police officer Syed Nawaz told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Signs on the bodies showed the men were tortured before being killed, Nawaz said. According to the letter, the men spied for a rebel group led by Maulvi Ashraf, who recently parted ways with the Taliban.
The victims were local residents who were abducted a few days ago, journalist Naseer Azam said. Several people have been killed in the tribal region of Pakistan on the charge of spying for government or foreign troops.
