SHARAN (PAN): Four policemen were killed and as many intelligence workers injured in a roadside bombing in the Barmal district of southeastern Paktika province on Thursday, an official said.
The incident happened in the Tor Tangi area, where the security officials were trying to defuse a bomb, the governor's spokesman, Mukhlis Afghan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the injured were shifted to an ISAF health facility and their condition was stable.
As usual, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast. Their spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said a police commander, Ishaq, and six of his guards were killed in the attack.
