KABUL (PAN): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Saturday announced imposing a ban on two national players for violating rules and misbehaviour with team members.
Shahpur Zadran was banned for six months after being found guilty of flouting ACB regulation during an official tour abroad and misconduct with other players.
Shafiqullah Shafaq, who simultaneously played at national and international levels, was banned for two years, the ACB said, adding the decision was taken in the interest of promoting cricket and respect for international laws.
Shafaq has represented Afghanistan in two one-day internationals, five T-20 and eight unofficial one-day matches. Zadran has played 13 one-day, eight T-20 and six test matches.
