Schools buildings inaugurated in Kunar
ASADABAD (PAN): Newly-constructed buildings for two schools were inaugurated in eastern Kunar province on Monday, officials said.
The buildings included one for girls' school in Narang district, where 300 students enrolled, said Syed Jamaluddin Hassani, the provincial education director.
He added the building with 12 classrooms cost $88,000, provided by the government of Japan.
Another high school building, costing $64, was opened in the Sarkano district. The building has eight classrooms.
Since education played an important role in the development of a country, Afghans should send their children to schools, said Governor Syed Fazlullah Wahidi.
