Woman among 3 dead in Jawzjan suicide attack
SHIBERGHAN (PAN): Three people were killed and 11 others wounded during a suicide bombing in northern Jawzjan province on Monday, officials said.
The attack in Aqcha district left a policeman, a woman and a man dead, the acting district chief, Asadullah Bahrami, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Bahrami said a seven-year-old child and a police official were among the injured. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the assault.
Provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Aziz Ghairat, said the blast happened in the main district bazaar at 6.30pm when the bomber crashed his motorbike into a police vehicle.
He added one policeman was killed and another wounded in the attack. But the police chief did not have exact casualty figures. The policemen were on their way to the city to resolve a public dispute.
