6 dead in Peshawar bombing
The incident occurred in a music shop in Nishtarabad Chowk in Peshawar late on Monday night, Hajji Zaman, a storeowner in the crowded commercial neighbourhood, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A remote-controlled bomb, attached to a motorcycle, detonated, destroying several stores and vehicles parked in the area, he said.
A local police officer told journalists that six people, including a woman and a child, were killed and 30 others injured.
Mushtaq, a doctor at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), confirmed receiving 25 injured, with some in critical condition.
"The fatalities could rise because the condition of some of the injured is critical," another hospital source said.
Bomb disposal unit chief, AIG Shafqat Malik, said about 8-10 kilograms of explosives were used in the blast. Five women and two children were among the injured.
