Work launched on 3 projects in Nangarhar
JALALABAD (PAN): Construction work worth $190,000 was launched on three development projects in the Behsud district of eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday, officials said.
He said the walls would costing $72,000 were scheduled to be completed in three months. The schemes would secure the schools' environment for 3000 girls and boys.
Meanwhile, the foundation stone of a two-storey library, funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), was laid in the Sarach Ali Khan area. The project worth $118,000 will be implemented by development councils of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG).
The construction work would take 10 months to complete, Yasir Naseri, a Development Council head, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Behsud District Development Council chief Malak Niamatullah Halimi requested the government and donors to launch welfare projects in the town, given the satisfactory security situation.
