13 insurgents killed; weapons seized
Seven operations were conducted by Afghan and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers in Ghazni, Helmand, Zabul, Parwan and Kandahar provinces.
An interior ministry statement said two commanders were among the dead. Another three fighters were detained by police.
Police also seized 81 anti-vehicle landmines, missile shells, cannon balls, nine bags of explosives, two machine guns, seven AK-47 rifles and 568 kilograms of drugs.
