ZARANJ (PAN): Afghan police have seized nearly 10,520 litres of acid in southwestern Nimroz province, officials said on Monday.
More than 525 jerry canes of acid were seized at the customs department late on Sunday, said Brig. Gen. Abdul Jabbar Purdali, the provincial police chief. The acid was smuggled from Iran.
A truck was laden with the contraband in China, said Hadi, a spokesman for the customs department. The acid belonged to the Hafiz Naeem Corporation, he added.
