    ISAF chopper makes emergency landing

GARDEZ (PAN): A helicopter of NATO-led forces made an emergency landing due to a technical fault in southeastern Paktia province on Thursday, an official said.

The chopper landed in residential area of Waza Zadran district, with all those on board escaping unhurt, the deputy police chief, Col. Syed Zakaria, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

A statement from the Bagram airbase of the US military confirmed the incident, saying there were no casualties. Pilots were taken to a base in the area.

But a Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed the helicopter crashed after being shot by the militants.
