2 killed by own explosives in Logar
PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Two insurgents were killed and a third injured by the explosives they were planting in the central province of Logar, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred when the militants were planting a roadside bomb in the Patkhwab Roghani area of Baraki Barak district, the provincial police chief said.
Brig. Gen. Ghulam Sakhi Rogh Lewanai told Pajhwok Afghan News they had launched an investigation into the incident.
The bomb planters were area residents, with the injured taken to the Kabul Emergency Hospital by his relatives, said the district chief, Mohammad Rahim Amin.
A resident said: "Three masked men came to the area where they did not allow people to pass." They heard an explosion after a few minutes, Javed said, adding they saw two bodies and an injured man on the scene.
