5 suspects detained in Logar
PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Five suspected fighters were detained during an operation by international soldiers in the Qala-i-Shahi area on the outskirts of Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, police chief, Brig. Gen. Ghulam Sakhi Rogh Lewanai, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The detainees were loyal to Mohammad Rafiq Kochi, a Taliban local commander, accused of planting landmines in the area, he said. ISAF confirmed the operation, saying they were searching for the rebel commander. One rocket-propelled grenade was also seized.
