Body to decide on officials' foreign trips
KABUL (PAN): High-ranking officials would be stopped from making unnecessary trips abroad in line with a Cabinet decision and a decree from President Hamid Karzai, the foreign ministry said on Monday.
A committee had been tasked to make rules for evaluating the importance of senior government officials' foreign trips, a statement from the ministry said.
Forms will be sent to all government institutions and the officials going abroad and their departments will have to fill them out.
On receipt of the forms, the committee will decide on the significance of such trips. Those going abroad will have to coordinate with the ministry before they leave Afghanistan.
