Mosque foundation stone laid in Sar-i-Pul
SAR-I-PUL (PAN): The foundation stone of a mosque was laid in northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Thursday.
The two-storey Guzar Shahan Mosque, to be constructed on one and a half acre of land, would be completed in six months at a cost $ 800,000 (38,256,000 afs).
Haji Mohammad Ibrahim, a national trader, has provided funds for the mosque. He has already built two mosques in the city, a local official, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The mosque is being constructing in a populous area, said Mohammad Hakim, a resident. The governor, mayor and citizens also participated in the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
