KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): As many as 250 religious scholars and students were tested in order to qualify and get 12th grade certifications from the department of education in southern Kandahar province, the provincial education department said on Monday.
The graduates and those passing the exam would be officially assigned in government and non-government organisation like others who had succeeded in the past, the Department of Education said.
“The process has been launched by the Department of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Education and the object is to hand the 12th grade certifications to all those who don’t have any official certificates of their education” the statement quoted Education Director Najibullah Mujaddadi, as saying.
He added the 250 Ulema and religious scholars from Kandahar City and district participated in the exam in religious education.
Maulvi Fati Mohammad, a religious scholar and resident of Panjwai district, called the test a golden chance for himself, adding that this certification will pave the way for him to work in the government department and non-government administrations.
