3 injured in Helmand blasts
LASHKARGAH (PAN): Two policemen and a civilian were injured in back-to-back bomb explosions in southern Helmand province, an official said on Saturday.
The first blast took place at around 7:30am in the Kart-i-Lagan area of the provincial capital, Lashkargah, injuring one civilian.
A second explosion occurred moments later in the same area as police tried to defuse explosives, Lt. Captain, Mahmud Noorzai, the district police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Two policemen sustained slight injuries in the second explosion, he said, adding one of them was evacuated to hospital.
A source in the Bust Hospital confirmed receiving an injured policeman, saying he was in stable condition.
