QALA-I-NAW (PAN): A newly-constructed building for the governor's office was inaugurated in northwestern Badghis province on Saturday, an official said.
Funded by the Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), the project cost $200,000, Sharafudin, the governor's house spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Taking eight months to complete, the three-storey building has seven administrative and residential rooms, he added.
Separately, a newly-constructed building for the nomad affairs department of southeastern Paktika province was opened on Saturday.
The project cost $118,000 and took 18 months to complete, Deputy Governor Juma Mohammad Zadran said.
A representative of the nomads, Nimatullah, said they were happy to have a place where they could seek resolution of their problems.
He demanded of the government to resolve the issue of drinking water facing the Kuchi tribesmen.
