Distribution of plots to Logar teachers begins
By Maqsud Azizi Oct 16, 2011 - 20:10PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): The distribution of residential plots to teachers started on Sunday in the Mohammad Agha district of central Logar province, officials said.
The plots are part of a 300-acre township for teachers, according to Abdul Matin Jafar, the provincial education director.
About 1500 teachers would be allotted plots, each measuring 500 square metres, Governor Attiqullah Lodin said.
One schoolteacher, Abdullah Ilham, complained they could not afford to build houses on the plots due to their dismally low income levels.
