AIBAK (PAN): More than 200 schools were provided with modern equipment as part of efforts at improving educational standards in northern Samangan province, officials said on Sunday.
Based on the education ministry's strategic plan, 228 schools were equipped with modern teaching and learning tools, Abdul Aziz Azizi, the education director, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Laboratory equipment, textbooks, computers, chairs, tables, tents and other items accounted for $320,000 (15,216,000afs), provided by the World Bank, the director said.
The project was implemented across the provincial capital and all districts, said Haji Mohammad Omar Stanikzai, head of the project.
