3 bomb planters dead in ISAF airstrike
JALALABAD (PAN): Three mine planters were killed in an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred late on Tuesday night in the Wazir area of Khogyani district, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, the governor's spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Shafiqullah, a resident, said he knew two victims named Maulvi Abdul Malik and Azatullah, who had links to the Taliban. The victims' bodies still lay on the area.
The ISAF media office in the east confirmed the incident, saying a combined operation was launched in the area by Afghan and foreign soldiers.
