CJTF prosecutor shot dead

KABUL): Unidentified gunmen shot dead a prosecutor of the Criminal Justice Task Force (CJTF) in front of his house in the capital Kabul on Sunday, officials said.

Khwaja Mohammad Ibrahim was gunned down in the Golayee Park area of the 11th police district at 8am when he was going to his office.

CJTF spokesman Ahmad Khalid Mowahid told Pajhwok Afghan News Ibrahim, who received two bullets in his head, succumbed to his wounds at hospital.

A spokesman for the 101st Asmayee police zone, Hashmatullah Stanikzai, confirmed the incident. No one has been detained so far on charge of the killing, he said.

Two years ago, a judge of CJTF appellant court, Mohammad Halim, was shot dead in Kabul.
