ZARANJ (PAN): At least 55 kilograms of drugs were seized by the security personnel in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Wednesday.
The crystal type heroin was recovered from a corolla car on Tuesday in the Kang district, Brig. Gen. Abdul Jabar Purdali, the provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The driver, who wanted to traffic the drugs to Iran, managed to flee from the scene when police reached to the area, he added.
Nasir Ahmad, a resident of the area said: “Policemen stopped a car and seized some packets of drugs as a result of searching the car.”
