KABUL (PAN): Fifteen Afghan journalists are being sent to Pakistan for a month-long training course in Punjab province, the South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) said on Sunday.
Scheduled to begin on Monday, the course is being conducted at the South Asian Media School in Lahore, said Ahmad Zia Bumya, the head of SAFMA's Afghanistan chapter.
He told journalists in Kabul of the 36 journalists who applied for the course, 15 had qualified to attend the training. The journalists belong to Kabul, Kunar, Nangarhar, Balkh, Khost, Kandahar, Laghman and Maidan Wardak provinces.
