Gen. Allen congratulates Karzai

KABUL and the international community on the success of the Bonn Conference.

“I congratulate President Karzai and all the delegates at the Bonn Conference for selflessly choosing to build a sustained future of peace, stability and prosperity for Afghanistan,” Gen. Allen said. 

A statement from the NATO-led force quoted the general as saying: “I also laud the international community’s effectiveness in utilising Bonn’s success to reaffirm its unified support for long-term commitments to the people of Afghanistan.”
