Jalrez police headquarters inauguratedBy Mohammad halim Karimi Dec 8, 2011 - 14:47
MAIDAN SHAHR (PAN): A newly-built police headquarters was inaugurated in the Jalrez district of central Maidan Wardak province on Thursday, an official said.
The building was constructed at a cost of $7.1million provided by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), the governor's spokesman said.
Shahidullah Shahid told Pajhwok Afghan News that the headquarters, built on one and a half acres of land, had 30 rooms and other facilities.
Previously, the district police headquarters had no proper building, he said, adding the facility would pave the way for enhancing the strength of security personnel in Jalrez.
