CultureTotal lunar eclipse occurs in Afghanistan
By Javed Hamim Kakar Dec 10, 2011 - 16:49KABUL (PAN): Noted Afghan astrologist Abdullah Kandahari has predicted a full lunar eclipse in the country, lasting three and a half hours, on Saturday evening.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News the eclipse would begin from 5:15pm and last until 8:48pm (local time). It will be visible, besides Afghanistan, in Japan, Europe, Africa, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Moscow, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The last lunar eclipse occurred on the night between Wednesday and Thursday on June 5 and the sun eclipse on July 1 this year, according to Kandahari.
